Convertiable Music

Photobucket
^ Josie's still got it.

Thanks to a local Goodwill, I am now the proud owner of Josie Cotton's "Convertible Music" cassette tape circa '82. Covered in dust but still playable, Cotton's debut release blared through the speakers of my car nonstop for hours, causing me to fall in love with her sugary lyricism (i.e. "He Could Be the One") and New Wave sentiments ("So Close"). Initially seduced by her performance of "Johnny Are You Queer" in "Valley Girl," Cotton's cassette has turned me into a full on addict. Move over Siouxsie Sioux, I've finally found a new fave.
